Shed Night on the Gold Coast off to a great start.

The inaugural Shed Night was held at the Mission Serenity HQ on the Gold Coast, on Friday night the 16th of October 2009.

12 guys attended, with 14 apologies, and the night was hailed as a great success.

After a good meal from the Bar b q, the boys adjourned to the shed, affectionately known as “Wombat Lodge.” [ a hole in the ground where fat hairy things go to play]

Real issues were discussed, and debate was very honest, and healthy.

The men decided to meet once each month on the 2nd Friday night of the month.

In November however the group will meet on the third Friday, due to commitments on the 13th of November.

Next meeting will be held on the 20th of November, and one of the boys, Paul, will be interviewed and put under the spotlight, for a in depth interview about his life.

This should be very interesting, as Paul sits astride a shiny new motorcycle, as a highway patrol officer with the Queensland Police.

The ages of men in attendance ranged from early 20’s to early 80’s.

This made for a great insightful evening.

This ministry is a winner.

Invite your mates, and come along to a venue where all judgement is left at the door.

See you there.

Graham.
